Celebrity Baby Carriers – Luxury Brands Celebs Choose For Their Babies

For many expecting parents, the items used to safely transport a new baby from Point A to Point B are of the utmost importance, and no cost is too high for the reassurance that their tiny bundle is comfortable, secure, and safe.

Of the many items you may purchase for a baby, the car seat, stroller, and baby carrier are typically the ones for which average folks prioritize shelling out the big bucks. And it makes total sense — but how far is too far?

We see celebrities carting their babies around Hollywood in the media on a regular basis, thanks to tabloids and social media. Have you ever seen your favorite actress baby-wearing in a paparazzi photo and wondered what carrier she’s using? Read on to find out.

What’s the most expensive baby carrier?

The world’s most expensive baby carrier is made by the brand Artipoppe and was created in the Netherlands in 2012.

Artipoppe claims they prefer “working with nature, instead of against it” in their manufacturing and sourcing. They use all-natural materials, including linen, hemp, cotton, cashmere, and other sustainable materials. Their products are handmade in Lithuania.

While Artipoppe carriers are eye-catching and have gorgeous hues and patterns, the price point is incredibly high for the average consumer. The prices for this luxury carrier range from $250 to over $3,000.

Some are made with Japanese silk, natural cashmere, and other luxurious materials that we’d never associate with a newborn baby. This one is $3,742 and is made with vicuna, cashmere, organic cotton, and mulberry silk.

It’s the most expensive carrier by a landslide and one of the most popular. Since the lower-priced Artipoppe carriers are feasible to give as a group gift, some expecting mothers may receive an Artipoppe carrier as a baby shower gift or from a very generous relative or friend.

It’s certainly not the norm to spend $800 on a baby carrier but to each their own!

Tula Baby Carrier

The Tula Baby Carrier has been worn by many celebrities, including Daniel Craig, Kevin Hart, Julia Stiles, and Bethany Hamilton.

Tula Baby is owned by ErgoBaby, another competitor in the industry. The lowest-priced Tula baby carrier on their website is $199. The most expensive carrier is $680.

Tula justifies the steep prices in a few ways. Its higher-end carriers are made from 50% cotton and 50% silk for extreme comfort, cooling, and closeness for both mama and baby. Many of Tula’s pricey carriers are made from “traditionally woven fabric created by Guatemalan weavers and Girasol woven materials, which are made in fair trade and sustainable conditions.”

Their more affordable options are made from cotton/ linen blends and offer versatility, comfort, and effortless style. Can you find style and comfort in a carrier for less than $600? Absolutely.

Cybex Baby Carrier

The Cybex Yema is a sleek, chic, and versatile baby carrier. At $199.95, it had better be!

CYBEX is a German company founded in 2000 by a young father who wanted something functional, comfortable, and uncomplicated. The Yema was born from this need.

The Yema has padding in the shoulders and belt, making it a strong contender for long travel days with a baby in tow. This carrier also has multi-functional head and neck support, making it ideal for babies of all sizes and weights.

Parents and caretakers can wear the carrier straps parallel or crossed in the back for maximum comfort. Cybex’s iconic wings were inspired by the artistic drapery of international fashion designers, helping the carrier stand out from the competition and match the carrier’s color scheme or be more decorative.

ErgoBaby is certainly not the most expensive product on this list, but celebrities seem to flock to this brand. ErgoBaby carriers have been seen in the wild, used by Gwen Stefani, Pink, Nataline Portman, and Orlando Bloom.

ErgoBaby’s canvas material is sturdy and strong but feels soft to the touch. The Velcro waistband is wide and supportive, allowing for all-day comfort if you need to wear your baby for extended periods of time.

The carrier comes in a few colors and patterns, varying in price and functionality. The ErgoBaby 360 is one of their most popular items, at $135.

You can certainly find chic, more affordable options in carriers than ErgoBaby, but this brand is the gold star standard for baby-wearing and is one of the most trusted brands in the US for baby carriers.

Nuna Baby Carrier

Nuna is a well-liked and trusted baby brand, primarily popular for its sleek, stylish strollers and car seats.

Nuna sells a baby carrier, the CUDL Baby Carrier, for $199. Its material is primarily jersey, made from organically-farmed cotton, and is GOTS™ certified organic.

Nuna guarantees comfort and softness for your new bundle, and we have no doubt believing that claim to be true. Nuna has a few bells and whistles that more affordable options don’t, including magnetic closures so you can put the carrier on yourself without needing assistance (every new parent’s nightmare), fits children up to 3 years old, and has verified organic materials and sourcing.

$199 may be steep, but you get what you pay for, and Nuna seems to have met its customers’ expectations for its baby carrier.

Colugo Carrier

Loved by Kate Hudson and WWE twins Brie and Nikki Bella, Colugo’s carrier is a lightweight, easy-to-put-on carrier that comes in a wide range of colors and patterns.

The key difference between the Colugo carrier ($145) and others in its class is the breathable material it offers. After wearing a baby for an extended period of time, it’s nearly guaranteed that both you and the baby will be hot and sweaty. It comes with the territory.

Colugo, however, has installed proper installation and breathable fabric, making baby-wearing more comfortable for parents and caretakers. The carrier itself weighs less than 2 pounds, showcasing the lightness of the material and its minimal bulk.
