Love the cute animal pattern on Special Delivery diapers! You can see they do have a wetness indicator, but no size-up indicators.

First off, Huggies Special Delivery have cute animal patterns. Other sizes have plants, feathers, dots, and birds!

They also have wetness indicators so you can easily tell when your baby has a wet diaper.

However, unlike Huggies Little Snugglers, they do not have size up indicators. Personally, I find the size up indicators useful. But you can also tell if your baby is ready for the next size of diapers by checking for red marks where the diaper is too tight.

Absorbency

Special Delivery diaper after I poured 2 cups of water on it!

Fortunately, Huggies Special Delivery are just as absorbent as regular Huggies diapers. When I poured water on both types in my kitchen, they both absorbed four cups of water!

Unfortunately, Special Delivery diapers don’t keep moisture away from your baby’s skin the way other diapers do. Even when I added the first drops of water and waited a minute, the diaper still felt wet to the touch.

If your baby has sensitive skin, these may not be the right diapers for you.

Fit

back of special delivery
Back of Special Delivery diaper. You can kinda see the elastic waistband at the top.

Special Delivery diapers are super soft! Huggies claims they are their softest diaper yet, and I agree.

Like other Huggies diapers, Special Delivery diapers fit a variety of babies very well. The elastic leg cuffs work great for both thin and pudgy children. And the elastic waistband stretches to fit different size tummies.

And, as is typical for Huggies, Special Deliveries tend to bunch up between the baby’s legs. This means there’s lots of room for waste, which means fewer…

Leaks

Inside of Huggies Special Delivery diaper review- the pocketed elastic waistband is great for holding in leaks!
The pocketed elastic waistband found on all types of Huggies, including Special Delivery, is great for stopping leaks and blowouts!

That’s right, Huggies are one of the best brands for preventing diaper leaks and blowouts.

Even Special Deliveries have the fantastic elastic waistband and leg cuffs to hold in messes. Plus they’re super absorbent.

And one of the most important features- the waistband has a pocket to stop overflows!

Diaper Tabs

I love Huggies diaper tabs! The whole tab is sticky, meaning it holds tight. Yet you can refasten the diaper a ton of times and they hold up great!
